Behind Quantum Quality Designs is a multi-generational family of artisans with several specialties.  Each member has been trained to take particular pride in fine, detailed workmanship.  Perfectionism runs in the family!


Our Artisan Ancestors:

The Finell Family:

      • Torgny G. Finell – Born 1915 in Oregon.  Raised with a family tradition of high-quality blacksmithing from Finalnd. Specialized in custom woodcarving, wood turning and cabinetry.  Mined and faceted sapphires and other gemstones. Donated a particularly nice specimen to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
      • Hazel B. Engdahl Finell – Born 1920 in South Dakota.  Post-high school, dabbled in multi-media.  Pioneered in fused glass.  Specialized in woodcarving, lapidary work and watercolor.  Has an ironwood carving in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum dedicated to the Eagle crew.

The Bibeau family:

    • Aime J. Bibeau – Born 1915 in Canada.   After 12 years old, continually learned on the job or self-educated.  Served during WWII in the Royal Canadian Air Force.  Specialized in welding and metalwork.  Naturalized U.S. citizen. Retired from making prototypes for Motorola.
    • E. Irene Feindell Bibeau – Born 1912 in Canda.  Earned the highest provincial exam grade in 8th grade.  Self-educated afterwards.  Naturalized U.S. citizen.  Specialized in sewing, needlework and reproductions of porcelain dolls.  Numerous best-of-show awards and sweepstakes prizes.  Believed and taught, “You are not a success unless you leave a successor.”

David P. Finell – Retired U.S. Air Force.  Specializes in videography and photography.  Pursuing print techniques.
